A Rustic Westcoast Wedding, Yellow Point, Vancouver Island

Wednesday 26 June 2013

While we are busy updating our blog, we'll be posting some of our favourite weddings from last year which never made it to our blog page!  This wedding was incredibly amazing.  The details were over the top, the vendors involved were some of the best Vancouver Island has to offer and I was over the moon to be involved!  The bridal bouquet above was incredible to make using some of my favourite's including craspedia, queen anne's lace, scabiosa, poppy seed pods, grasses, larkspur, dusty miller and ferns!

The wedding took place on a private residence out in Yellow Point, Vancouver Island.  The couple were so incredibly easy going and a dream to work with.

Tam, owner of Blue Lily Event Planning set up all the vintage stations which included a S'more Station, a tea station and delightful areas to sit and enjoy the evening of course with amazing floral arrangements scattered throughout.

When creating a rustic, vintage, westcoast wedding, it's really all about creating unique details which suit the venue, the details here were a perfect fit for the location.  I swoon everytime I look at these photos!

The perfect garden roses added to the tables set, and of course in the simple, yet perfect - mason jar.

And then there was this ..... a "ruined" area perfect for a stunning floral tablescape set to the perfect amount of candle light and love.  Ummm, amazing!

The groom wore a rustic boutonniere wrapped in burlap to mimic the bridal bouquet.

It was the first time I was asked to create an "ugly" bouquet.  I had to ask why?  The couple had a unique twist and set up an "ugly" 80's inspired themed room as the fiance had proposed to the bride through a game he literally created!  Guests enjoyed some good old Nintendo gaming.  Love it!
